The Art of Journaling

All the diaries I've completed. HOW IT ALL STARTED There's something about my journaling. It's the sign of the end of my day. Even when I'm tired, I cant rest until I've got my thoughts, joys and frustrations out in my diary. And once I do, I sleep so good. I've always written. For as long as I can remember I loved to write stories. I always believed I would someday be published, but after I died. When I was little I knew that someday someone would find my stuff and then publish it. For some reason I never considered the option of actually publishing it myself. I loved to read about other authors (most of which are dead.) I thought it sad that we knew little some of them. Because of that I decided I would make sure people could find enough about me, for after I was dead, so they could have a nice sized biography on me. Thus when I was 11 I started journaling every day. In fact, since then, I've only missed 4-5 days and I

Kate's Innocence Blog Tour ( book review, author interview, and giveaway!!! )

Not only do I have news of a new book release and an interview with the author....but a giveaway, too! So, read on for more about this awesome book :). Sarah Holman  is an author I just recently discovered. Having won her first novel  a while back, and loving it tremendously, I looked her up and found the rest of her books . Which, of course, I had to read. And did. In fact I just finished reading the last one about a week ago. ( There were like 9 books or so, most of which made up three series. ) Very unique stories full of characteristic characters and original plot twists, her books are fun and fast paced reads. One thing I love about her books is she breaks a writing rule I've been taught can't be broke!!!! She doesn't stick to one genre. As of now, she has a sci-fi series, a medieval series, a historical revolutionary novel, a Cinderella retelling, a Bible story, and a modern mystery. But despite all the great stories, one thing about the novels irrit

Food Tag (Of Course, My CRAZY Version :b)

Thanks,  Erudessa , for tagging me! As usual, I decided to have fun with it....I almost posted some gross food pictures with this... but... let's just say I decided I didn't want to lose any followers. Haha!!! :) The rules: 1). Thank the person who nominated you, as well as link to their blog. 2). Answer the 10 questions provided. 3). Come up with 10 more questions that relate to food. 4). Nominate at least 5 people. 5). Let those people know they've been nominated. 1. Your thoughts on cheese?   I have very disorganized, rant-like thoughts on cheese. Any one that doesn't like it is crazy. But American cheese is gross. Homemade cheese is good, unless the Amish made it....tastes rotten then :b. It probably isn't good for you being processed...but neither is half of the other "acceptable junk" people eat instead:) ;) :D 2. Favorite pizza? Little Caesar's!!!!!! With lots of cheese and thick crust. I also love black olives, lots of tomatoes,

Objectifying Boys (and men)

Many girls hate when guys objectify them. When guys think of girls as nothing more than a thing to use as they please, someone to control, etc. But amidst all their complaining of how guys are evil, selfish beings, and that there no good guys left,  most girls are doing the same thing they hate those guys for  - creating unrealistic images out of men for their own desires. Here are three ways we as girls objectify men. Remember, these are just my personal convictions and things I've noticed in other girls and the subsequent consequences of what they did/ did not do. :) Flirting: Selfish Means of Drawing Attention When a girl does this she is not thinking of the guy in a very nice way. He's become an object in her mind, one she is trying to conquer for her own personal and  emotional  reasons. She is not thinking of him as a friend. She is not considering ways that she can help him .... but of ways that he can please her. Be something to her. One who flirts wi

The Bluebird's Memory Nest

My friend, Erudessa , "pecked" me to join in this game she just made up. If you'd like to join head over to her blog and let her know :). So the Rules: Thank the person that 'pecked' you. List five things that start with, 'When I grow up and have my own house...' (they can be true,'When I grow up and have my own house, I will learn to play the Violin'.....or utterly ridiculous,'When I grow up and have my own house, I will not let anyone visit me who leaves the plug for the shower head pulled so that the water hits you in the back of the head when you turn it on.') 'Peck' one other person and let them know that you have done so. 1. When I grow up and have a house of my own, I'll still say I'm going to do things when I grow up. :) 2. When I grow up and have a house of my own, I will have chocolate at every meal. 3. When I grow up and have a house of my own, I'll learn every language. 4. When I grow

Life and All That Goes With It

Life. It's one of those weird things I still haven't figured out, but hope to make totally clear to you by the end of this post. Or maybe just my life. In that case you might not learn anything at all about life in general - except sleep, and maybe death. I mean, parts of it (life) are starting to make sense. Like sleep for example. Why was it when I was little I dreaded sleep? And when I got older I started to love it, but still avoided it? And now, why is it that it seems I live for the time I can sleep? The thing I use to hate and avoid I now strive for. Why is that? My answer is simple. The reason children hate sleep is because they just "woke" up and are very confused. They do not know if this place called Earth is really Heaven or just something very much like it. And since it (life) is so good why sleep? As you get slightly older life is still "heaven" but you have also learned to appreciate resting and sleep - yet avo

September Writing Challenge

Join the writing prompt at  Miss Melody's  blog!!! "With great destiny comes great loneliness." It was a joke. But in an ironic way what I was saying felt like reality. Like a self-inflicted curse.  "You can't be serious, dear." Aunt Cheri said. "You need to think of yourself and your future." "And not them?" "Giving up your life is not the only solution! Think this through seriously." I cried inwardly as I laughed to her face. "When have I never been serious about what I do?" She just have me a look that almost seemed to say, "One of the many things that you need to change about yourself." "It's not like I could just leave them!? Who else would care for them?" She surely wasn't going to volunteer. Aunt Cheri didn't try to persuade me more.  Just like all of the other relatives and friends, she left with out offering any help towards myself or si

The Best Hairstyle For Long Hair Ever [says me]

Hey, ya'll! I don't do many fashion posts, but thought that this would be fun. 😊 Though technically this is not a fashion post but an unfashionable, wild, crazy post! Lol 😝 I mean how many people are crazy enough to dress this way - on a a normal basis, and in public? Me. Yeah, right. 😉 I am rather weird in my tastes. I like wild, comfy, pretty, easy, crazy, fancy, practical all wrapped in one. - Those are some of my favorite words, too ;). I get some crazy results :D Such as this new thing with my hair ( I've been doing it about 6 months now ). I first did it in this picture - wanting something unique and pretty for a girls' party I was going to, I suddenly thought of braiding a ribbon into my hair. A close friend, Esther helped me! ( Never knowing how crazy I'd become weeks later ). The ribbon was soon replaced with a scarf :) At first I would just wrap the scarf around my head, tie it under my pony tail and then over. An

Words: Finding The Right Color and Their Importance in Our Lives To Show a Beautiful, Dignifying Meaning.

The title says it all. No need to read any further. Haha, what sort of crazy blogger would I be of I actually said that, and meant it! ;) Please keep on! And leave your thoughts at the end :D Today I'm sharing a series of posts I did on Facebook a while back. It got a lot of attention ( Uhhm..negative ). 😝 😉 So, just thought you might all like to see it also! There are a few slang words that are accepted in our modern-day society as being good. I want to discuss two of the main ones  OMG ( Oh my gosh or God, Jesus, lord, etc )  and darn ( dang ). (And all other crude slang words). And I want to present them from three different perspectives that I have categoirized under my own titles ( not necessarily accurate titles :b ): Mainstream Christian, Conservative Christian and Secular. 1. Mainstream Christian: As Christians we try to live good lives. Most of us would agree that blasphemy is one of the worst sins we can commit against God. And normally we refr
