I decided to be outlandish.
I have many dreams. I try to keep them all within the realm of reality or at least confined by what I know I can accomplish on my own.
But I've heard it's healthy to know what you want, even if it's beyond and above yourself. So here goes.
Dreams
- Be published on Babylon Bee.
- Be interviewed by Ben Shapiro or Candace Owens.
- Write a television or radio commercial for a product, but write it so people laugh and never forget that product no matter how dull. Such as a jump rope.
- Have A Series of Thoughts become a TV show. I must write the script though. (My six novellas are completed).
- Write a book or story in German. Even a poem will do.
- Co-author a book with Katherine Paterson. (I do hope to at least meet her one day!).
- Have at least one of my books hit the New York's best selling list.
- Find one of my books in a thrift store and buy it for a quarter, or even ten cents.
- Send my books to prisoners and I'll use the covers I tear off as pranks, I suppose ;)
- Direct a play (and write it!).
- Offer a lecture at some university. Specifically Patrick Henry or Oxford.
- Advise whoever happens to be the president. Or simply clean their house, or have them wear dresses I've designed.
- Write a homeschool curriculum (I have the brickwork in my brain).
- Create the perfect economic system, detail it in a book, watch it unfold (not be enforced, as that is the antithesis of what will be my goal).
- Create the perfect site where we can access and research all of our politcal candidates so that it would be unnecessary to door knock, receive politcal mail, have so many ads, or scroll through FB's multitude of candidate bashings.
Do you have any outlandish dreams? Do share!
This post was awesome! I love hearing people's wildest dreams and goals. :D I used to always want to be an athlete in the Olympics, even though I have no idea what sport I would be in. XD So I'd call that my craziest dream. A Series of Thoughts would be such a neat TV show, from what I've read of it!
ReplyDeleteOh, that does sound exciting! I really love gymnastics, too. And I'm so glad you think so!
DeleteI love this! I’d like to try and be more outlandish about my dreams... I used to dream big, but I think just as I get older, reality sets in and have turned a lot of my big dreams to mush. Coming up with big dreams to aspire to achieve is something has been on my mind and my heart lately and something that I am going to start working on! :)

Reality did that to many of my dreams, too. Sometimes reaching back to your childhood helps ;) Good luck; it's such a rewarding pursuit, when done right ;)
DeleteTHE LAST ONE THOUGH. YES. Someone needs to do that. Reminds me of this hilarious dream I had once where I and some friends wanted to protest something the government was doing but thanks to covid, decided to use the "power of the pen" instead. Aka we decided to flood them with protest letters for a full week. So we used irl and internet connections to gather as many ppl from all over the country to join us. And we researched every Member of Parliament meticulously so that we could use arguments that would best convince each one. And so basically the plan was to flood them with so much protest mail that they wouldn't be able to function for a full week XDD
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of enormous dreams too but you're on another level all together for posting yours XDD LOVE IT!!
Ahhh campaigning for my dad has put a real distaste in my mouth. Last night, after knocking on a door, someone told me I was garbage for standing there. They didn't even know who I represented, only that it was politcal. I came home and cried because I almost agree with them.
DeleteHaha what a funny dream! We do need to overwhelm some more agencies. Sadly, they ignore much of their mail when it matters.
If you post yours, send me a link ;)
Mine are: Have a small piece published on The Rabbit Room. Get agented as a writer. Buy a small house.
ReplyDeleteSimplicity, now, that's what I really want. To just have a cabin and land, to be free of the world and full of my joys, to write and love
DeleteThat's truly the dream that takes the plate. You're spot on.
Ah yes I just want my own little space to be free and at peace.
DeleteSuch a cool idea! Fun dreams too.
