Legwarmers For Gwen Stacy

Ok, so maybe they don't look like her leggings... but it made a good title! :b This project has been really fun... I knitted both leg warmers at once. For complete instructions click here But this is how you basically do it: #1 cast on half of the first item. #2 cast on all of the second item. #3 bring up the first, and cast on the rest the the stitches. Just keep knitting! Then when binding off; #1 bind off the first half of the first item. #2 bind off all of the second. #3 bind off the rest of the first. You must know how to do the magic loop method. The legwarmers were my own pattern. Advantage: You feel like you got more done... I mean two at once sounds great. Whether you do or not, I have no idea. Disadvantage: It's kind of hard keeping the two different balls of yarn and projects separate and not letting them get all tangled up. ;) Overall : It was a fun experience. I might do it again, but doing one at a time is OK wi...

Beautiful People - Villains

If you'd like to do this also, visit here So, I've seen others doing this, and thought I'd give it a try! Though what villain to choose!? I have so many..some aren't really bad, but just are in the MC's path, hindering their way ;) I thought about using one from my Beauty and the Beast retelling. But I've decided to wait to share much about that one. :) So here goes, Zellah, the wicked but beautiful witch from my story A Story Concerning Unselfish Persons. 1. What is their motive? Revenge. Zellah's name means "One Who Resists". This story is allegorical, and all the names and characters have meaning, purpose. Because the King and Queen are good, no evil can remain. Zellah's rebellious ways contradict those of the unselfish. 2. What do they want, and what are they prepared to do to get it? She wants power again, and the kingdom. She is willing to kill everyone, including her granddaughter in order to satisfy herself. 3. How do ...

New From Thrift

Thriftstores can be really fun!! I found most of this outfit at one yesterday. It just shows, that you don't have to have lots of money to find nice clothes :b Shoes: $2 Skirt: $1 Green Shirt: $2 Pink tank top: handmedown Necklace: got it at a thrift a while back Denim jacket: goodwill for like $3? Total : somewhere around $8. And to complete the outfit! My dad found these glasses in a car of his. They look rather neat :D Keziah likes them, too. "Hey, keep them on!" That's better. Keilah doesn't like them as much.... But she'll get over it. Jerushah has a really great business idea! She wonders if "baby baskets" wouldn't sell? Baby included. Lol, ;)

A Modest Oufit

So this is a "fashion" post. Enjoy! C lose up of denim. The embroidered flowers were part of the fabric. I top-stitched the seams (there are eight gores) and the hem with bright pink thread. Skirt: I made it - to order one like it, email me at keturahskorner(@) gmail(dot) com Pink button-up: thrift White tank: Wal-Mart Necklace: my dad found it in one of his salvage cars :b Sandals: Earth Spirit And since a friend and I just had trouble following blogs, I'll share how we finally managed to do it. :b When clicking on the "Join This Site" bar it told me that my request couldn't be fulfilled. I kept messing around with it. Finally I clicked on those squares that look like pages... there's an arrow pointing at them in my drawing, but the arrow doesn't really exist. Clicking on this will show you all the members of the blog. Up in the far right corner is a yellow-orange button that says something about following. Click on that. ...

The Amazing Spider Man 2

available here. Back Cover: It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than himself. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp. My rating: Three stars.  Rated PG-13. There is some kissing, violence, disturbing images, sci-fi action. My review:   Spoilers Alert!  I like this genre. I like lots of action, drama, and "unique". But I must say, I was a little disappointed in the movie. It felt like the authors spent most of their time on the action and effects ( which was very awesome, by the...
