Book Question Game (PLEASE READ MY QUESTIONS AT THE END!)

Rules :  Thank the person who nominated you.  Thanks,  Julian.  I don't think I've ever taken over a year to respond to a tag before. But ... here I am ;)  Tag your post with #awesomebloggeraward.   Answer the questions you were asked.   Nominate at least 5 bloggers and inform them of their nominations.   Give them 10 new questions to answer.  Questions  A book you've had for a long time but still haven't read.  I own a lot of books, so when I answer this, I'm just speaking some random title out of hundreds. Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens. For some reason, I wanted and wanted and wanted to read it forever. I finally found a gorgeous copy, bought it, and have yet to read it.   A book you read right after buying it.  Most non-fictions of mine I read right after purchasing. Usually, something to do with history or politics.   A book you regret buying.  I never regret, though sometimes...

Would You Rather?

Thanks for the tag,  Melody! The rules: Include the graphic  Madeline  made. Answer the Questions Tag some other people if you feel so inclined  Would you rather. . .  Train with demigods for the summer at Camp Halfblood OR attend Hogwarts to learn some spells for a semester?  I've never read either set of books, and I don't really have a desire to reas the Percy Jackson books  (saw the movies and didn't like them). There's too much teen drama. Hogwarts seems a bit more intellectual. So I guess I'd go with that. Go on an epic quest through the lands of Middle Earth OR be crowned a king or queen for your bravery in Narnia?  If you were asking if I'd rather go to Narnia or Middle Earth, I'd choose Narnia. But as the question is to have a quest or to be crowned for bravery (in this day and age, all it takes to be "brave" is to say whatever it is the left wants you to say), I suppose I'll have to choose an epic quest through Middl...

The Writerly Sibling Tag

All the books I've accidently acquired in Germany. Another tag from the Doorman , and here are his rules: Las Reglas parra Tag:  Regla Uno:   Thank the blogger who tagged you and provide a link to their post.  Regla Dos:  Answer the inquires, including any added ones by means of "Regla Seis".  Regla Tres:  Always use your own characters. No exception, unless you don't actually have sibling characters (in which case you need to go write up some) or you don't write (in which case you need to start ASAP).   Regla Quatro:  Tag three other bloggers.  Regla Cinco:  If you happen to have any siblings who blog, they are automatically tagged and cannot count towards your three. Regla Seis:  Add one question or prompt to the list of questions the person before you answered relating to siblings and/or characters. Answer the question, and provide a list of all the questions of that you answered so far (So, for example, some...

Spring Cleaning Tag

Rules of this tag:  1. Link back to the person who tagged you. I hate tags, but since I have to ... thanks, Doorman ! 2. Include the graphic. 3. Answer the questions. 4. Tag three other people. 1. Dust Bunnies and Plot Bunnies: Reorganize Your Writing Goals (Or Make New Ones) Ever since I've become serious about my writing, I'm currently in the weirdest place ever. From writing hours every day and telling everyone, "Just write a bit every day" to being like ... I could write, but I'm not writing. And so, maybe this tag is good for me. In the back of my mind, I know what I need and want. But I need to remind myself. And what better way to do it than to do so publicly? So, my goals are centered around the six months of me being in Germany: Give myself a small writing, break, not because I need it, but because I don't want to have to need it. I do not go brain dead learning German.  But always keep in the back of my mind my next two novels, Mor...

Journal tag

Thank whoever tagged you, then link to him/her and the creator ( Melissa Gravitis ).  Thanks,  Tori ! You seem to find a lot of fun tags ;D  Go through your old journals (writing or otherwise), and share something from them: from world-building to sketches, to random quotes, to an entry, to short snippets of writing! And if you feel like it needs explaining, go for it! Tag at least five other bloggers. Feel free to use the header image! Have fun! I love journaling. I mean I've done two posts about it so far (three counting this one). The Art of Journaling and Smile Every Day, Then Write Why .  First, I have a lot of journals! I'm currently on #34.  I'm going to share about my first journal, and the first three pages of it, since that won't be too embarrassing I hope.  One of my aunts gave me this for my ninth birthday. I had never heard of a journal before and it felt weird at first, but I loved it! And I named all...

Writer's Tag

- link back to the person who created the tag - - thank the person who tagged you - Thanks, Gray !  - share the tag graphic (optional, optional! I know it won't go with everyone's blog design) - - tag eleven bloggers – (pen)Name: Keturah Abigail Lamb is my real name. I like to sign my art with KAL . . . I have a special way to do, too ;) Nicknames: The main one is Tury. When I was little people would ask my if I had a nickname. I told them and they'd call me Terry which for some reason I hated so much. So I started saying, "No, I don't. My name is Keturah." But then people were like, "I'll just give you a nickname." So, I have quite a few of those now, the main ones being Kat and Ketty. People also wrongly call me Katherine and Katrina. Birthday: July 17, 1996. Hair color and length: Dark brown, past my waist. Eye color:  Weird colors . . . mostly hazel, sometimes brown. Braces/piercings/tattoos:  Nope, tho...

Bibliophile Sweater Tag

The Rules: Give the person who tagged you a never-ending supply of cookies (or just thank them - either work)  THANK YOU  Tori  ... cookies are kinda hard to ship ;p Answer all the questions and use the blog graphic for this tag somewhere in your post  Pass along the tag to at least five other people Wear a sweater (okay, this is optional...but why wouldn't you want to??) These are my two favorite sweaters that I wear all the time! The first feels like soft bath towel, the second is wool!! Both are warm and comfy. Also the contrast of these two photos really show my photo interests well ;p Artsy fashion vs. selfie ;D Fuzzy sweater (a book that is the epitome of comfort) This has to be C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Those books just make me way too happy ;D Always ;D  not the movies though. Those make me unhappy. I like the BBC versions better Striped sweater (book which you devoured every line of) That's a lot of bo...

7777

Julian   tagged me in this writing (synonymous for awesome) tag! Rules: Open my WIP to the seventh page, scroll pass the seventh line, copy the next seven paragraphs.... paste them here for y'all to read, then tag seven people! I like the number seven for many reasons: there are seven letters in my name, a week is seven days long and I love weeks... working on work days, sleeping on Sabbath, and it's a Holy number in Scripture. Just so many awesome things about seven. Here's an excerpt from Let Me Meet Death Dancing, my latest novel. The paragraphs break between two chapters ;0 Oh, and this is a first draft. So please excuse the abruptness in my writing ;D I nod, “Alright.” “Well, first thing first,” Patricia jumps into her schedule for me. “Why don't you girls clean up the breakfast mess? I'll wake up Julie and nurse her. And maybe I'll have a list made up for you by the time you all are done.” Kaylee smiles at me as she leads me to the kitchen. ...

Sunshine Blogger Tag

I was tagged by Snapper  for this lovely tag, shining forth with all the light the sun is capable of giving. Oh, and go read hers ... her answer for number five was really funny! 1. If I asked you whether this glass were half empty or half full, what would you say? First, I can't see this glass you are referring to... Second, it would really depend on my current mood. Third, normally when I want to drink water I want to drink more than a whole glass full. You know, I'm always striving to have a my cup overrunning ;) Psalm 23:5c  My cup overflows. So, maybe I'd say, "Bring me a full glass, or I'll pour that half glass down your back." Just being real, guys ;) 2. Cereal or Bagels? I could seriously get fat off bagels. And I don't need anything with them. No cream cheese, no butter. Just bagels and me, any flavor, all day long! #dreamlife 3. Take all your personality traits and flip them. What would you want to be when you g...

Cake Flavored Book Tag

Alexa  tagged me in this post a long while back. Guess I've been really bad at getting to this one ;p  1. Chocolate Cake (a dark book you absolutely love)  Well, truth be told I love dark chocolate. 85-95% is best. Milk chocolate is fake and for children. Haha. But I did read a 1300 page biography about Adolf Hitler once. And his Mein Kampf . Some people might think that dark. And I did absolutely love reading them. Don't judge me... I'm obsessed with weird historical stuff ;D 2. Vanilla Cake (a light read)  A light read for me is a Nancy Drew book :D I own about seventy of the old Nancy Drew's. 3. Red Velvet (a book that gave you mixed emotions)  Katherine Paterson's Jacob Have I loved . And then I found out there was a movie ! Wow... but the movie ended up being dull compared to the book. This is one of my favorite authors. Usually all of her books leave me feeling something. Hope. Awe. Etc... but this was mi...

A Write's Tag

Joined in this fun tag from here 1. WHAT GENRES, STYLES, AND TOPICS DO YOU WRITE ABOUT? I write many different genres, styles, and topics. I love art. And so I experiment with it all. I do like writing first person the best. I love expressing deep emotions and thoughts all at once. I love fiction that makes you think and feel. The perfect ending is this: like a sunset, bittersweet, even though it's over and dark, there is the knowledge of future hope. For non-fiction I love writing about what is on my heart of I am currently opinionated on. This includes ideas I am thinking about, my struggles, and articles on anti-feminism, homosexuality, roles and duties in friendships and love, honesty, and life. I like people and ideas, and so I write about both. I also really enjoy writing moral fairy tales. 2. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WRITING? For as long as I can remember. When I was little I was drawing and writing books, stapling them together. I still have those books :)...

The Book Sacrifice Tag (LETS BURN SOME BOOKS!)

Every now and then some tags just make you super excited. Like this one that Alexa nominated me in. Only thing: Why is it a book sacrifice? Because all the books I'm about to mention, doing this thing to them would be no sacrifice to me. AT. ALL. It would be my pleasure to take such a hand in their demise. *evil and satisfied laughter*  I present to you the: An Over-Hyped Book Situation: You are in a bookstore when the zombies attack. Over the loudspeaker, you hear the military informing you that over-hyped books are the zombies’ only weakness. What over-hyped book will you chuck at the zombies? Christian romances better labeled "garbage for the mind." LOL. First off, just about any book in a book store is over-hyped - all the good ones take a lot more work to find. Ya' know, the things worthwhile (doing or reading) in life aren't acquired easily. It all takes time and effort... But I'd probably choose a Janett...
