Interview with CG Drews; Author of BOY WHO STEALS HOUSES

Welcome to Keturah's Korner, Cait! I'm so excited to be talking with you today. Could you start out by telling us some things about yourself?  Thanks so much for having me on your blog! And hi to everyone! My name is CG Drews (also known as Cait from Paper Fury) and I'm an author and cake enthusiast from Australia. When I'm not writing, I'm trying to convince my small dog that the bed is not his (I have zero luck here) and making my own ice cream from scratch (writing fuel!). How long have you been writing and how many stories have you written? I started writing seriously when I was fifteen ... so ten years now (yiiiikes I feel old) and I've accumulated over thirty drafts. I promise they're not all very intelligible though! Can you tell us the story behind finding your agent/ publisher? I started querying for an agent when I was nineteen. I'd researched the process (ah, Google, my old friend) until I was overflowing with advice and had a query le...

Author Interview With Jack Lewis Baillot + Title Reveal and Giveaway

Welcome, Jack, to Keturah's Korner! Please introduce yourself to us!     Thank you so much for having me! Well, as you can tell, my name is Jack, at least as far as my pen name goes. Jack Lewis Baillot. My real name is a mystery because I'm that sort of person. I'm an Author and do everything that title entails — like writing books, sometimes editing them, and reading every chance I get. And once in a great while marketing. How many books have you written and how many of them are published? I have written at least seventy to eighty books in my lifetime. Some will never see the light of day, most are being rewritten now that I have some idea of what I'm doing, HA!, and will hopefully be published at a sometime later date. I have published two so far, both historical fiction set in WWII but completely different from each other. Brothers-in-Arms is a 400 page length novel set in Hitler's Germany and Finding the Magic is a small novella set during the London B...

Through The Pages: Author Interview

Interview with Annie Twitchell:  I don’t really know how I first met Annie Twitchell (may have been through a writing or knitting group) but the first time I remember bookmarking her into my memory was when one of my best friends told me, “I’m beta reading this awesome retelling of Rumpelstiltskin.” Intrigued, I messaged Annie and asked if I might beta read, too. Ever since I’ve never been able to turn down the chance to read something of hers. Today I’d love to welcome Annie to Keturah’s Korner.  We'd met on Ravelry! In two of my knitting groups, and in that one writing group. I was so tickled to find you other places online! Tell us about Through The Pages and why it’s so special to YOU! Through the Pages was written, almost as a dare, for my mom's birthday. When I finished up the release of one of my books last August, I asked God what I should write next. He told me I should write a book for my mom. For her birthday this year. I had just under a year in which t...

Where Dandelions Grow {Book Review/ Author Interview} and Giveaway!

1. Hey! Welcome to Keturah's Korner. I'm so glad you could join us today and tell us about your book "Where Dandelions Grow." Thank you! It’s good to be here. I’ve read various blog posts of yours over the years, but never imagined I’d one day be featured on here. It’s an honor to be invited!  2. What was the inspiration for this book?  Growing up my sister and two of our girl cousins did everything together. At my cousin’s high school graduation party I was sitting there musing over all our shared adventures and it hit me that I should write a book focusing on the bond between cousins.  3. In one line - what is your book about? The horrible consequences of bitterness, and how important family and forgiveness is.  4. How do you handle caffeine? Or what was the inspiration for how Destiny reacts to too much caffeine?  Oh, dear! You’re asking me that question as I sit next to a large iced coffee that I had meant to...
