A Response to Governor Bullock's Mandatory Mask Directive

Friends and family Even though the majority of Montanans voted no, Governor Bullock of Montana issued a statewide mandatory mask law. At the time of writing this, we've had 34 COVID related deaths, most of them elderly individuals that were to die shortly regardless. Those people matter and they will be grieved over. But life insists that we not forget the rest of Montana.  We must live. But because of those 34 we are told we may not operate fully.  What happen to the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness?  The governor believes he may dictate to us just how we pursue those rights, namely in that we don't.  The issue isn't the mask. It's merely a covering for so much more. Yet we must focus on the mask for a mere moment in order to fully address the heart of the issue.  Today I'm addressing the mask.  Bullock said, "If you see, only those of us who need to speak aren't wearing masks."   And who gets to decide who NEEDS to speak?   "I...

When Answers Create More Questions (And Other Thoughts)

When the answers you receive continue on this vicious cycle of creating more questions, it may be time to stop.  Just stop asking. Not every thing needs to be understood. We don't have to know everything, have all our ducks lined up, see the big picture. It's OK to be in the dark. To let go. To trust with blind faith. It's OK to be clueless. When the advice you receive is so drastically different...some of it is wrong, some of it is clouded in mystery, and some of it might be right...and all the opposing people are smart and decent and trustworthy people...it might be good to know this: Advice is the personal opinion of others based on their own perceptions of their own experiences and ideas.  Past that, it really isn't much. You listen to the advice, take what you need (not just what you like) and discard the rest. Yes, it is OK to discard advice . Large amounts of advice. Don't be afraid to take it and hear it. ...

How to be Depressed

This world is too happy. Look at the smiles everywhere! It's disgusting. Wide mouthed laughter? Squinting eyes? I mean, come on. Why!? People being nice to each other for no reason. It's not right. It's not realistic. It's disaster waiting to happen. And that is why I intend to bring it down…. show you all exactly how to be depressed in just a few short easy steps. Because, if we want to get rational, there is no point being happy for a time when we know that everything ends in death. That's right. Death. Dark, lonely, depressing death. Wipe that smile off your face… hey, even kill the imaginary one in your soul. Because it is time to bleed and cry. To feel terrible, worthless, pessimistic. 1. Just eat it. I don't care if it's full of sugar. Or chemicals. Or whatever they call garbage this day. If it tastes good, eat it. Perfect first ingredient to creating lethargy in your life. And lethargy means certain depression. ...

Perceiving that Illusions are Not Truths (Perspectives)

"It's all in the perspective." Is another way of saying "Truth is relative." "There is no objective truth." "Facts are up to the beholder." "I see what I see, you see what you see." (I might take this one with physical things, as for the most part we both would see the same thing, just with our own attitudes backing up the vision.) "Can't be helped. In fact, we just need to learn to accept the fact that our minds are ruled by illusions." "Nothing is real. Nothing is true. Let's just loooove each other and live in happy unity, you doing your thing, I mine." (some contradictions there, don't ya think?) Wait. Hold up a second.  You are going to use illusions as fact!? (Apparently some people on facebook try to) Um... I don't care what you think you see here, it's obvious that this illusion is just an illusion . No matter how hard you argue that ...

Hey?... Are You Laughing? :D

Laughter. There's something about it. You either hate it or love it. It can be distracting, addicting, or even contagious – all in good ways. Attractive, beautiful, meaningful. But hopefully it's never repulsive, obnoxious, and disturbing ;b Haha... I mean some would think so… But… really, what sort of minds do they have!? Lol. Some people will love you for your laugh. And then there will be those that hate you for it. That can sometimes be discouraging, and even make one want to quit laughing. But should you? Is laughing something that should be controlled, or is it something to be encouraged? Even in ourselves? I must say I have a very STRONG opinion on this… but first I'll share some verses. A joyful heart makes a cheerful face (smiling is the first step to laughing ;b) , But when the heart is sad, the spirit is broken. ~ Proverbs 15:13 According to Proverbs 31, the virtuous woman laughs without fear of the future. Now that might sound a lit...
