I Don't Love Babies

A lot of girls see babies and are like, "Oh!!!! Baby!! Have to hold, have to kiss, have to squish!"  It's as if they can't control themselves from going crazy over any baby - because it's just too cute. BabiesBabiesBabiesBabies I've never been like this. Babies are just babies to me.  And I've never felt the urge that I just had to have a baby. Baby-crazy girl: "Don't you just want a kid?" Me: "No... I think I'd prefer to get married, first." For a while I thought I may have been weird as most girls love little kids. But my sisters are just like me in this. Then I  thought the reason may have been partly because I have ten younger siblings and I'm just accustomed to babies and kids. I see and hold and kiss babies all the time. Above Rubies: Six Months of My Life in a Nutshell

Early November I went to Tennessee to volunteer for Above Rubies for my second time. I was only planning on staying a month and half, but as life has it, plans changed numerous times so that I ended up staying over six months! Back with family .... ..and friends. I just arrived back home about two weeks ago. In some ways I feel like I'm home... But then  other times I still find myself thinking of TN and everyone there. Six months is a long time. A lot can happen in six months. One of my friends married. Another had a baby. Another entered a relationship. Friendships went through rough times. Many were strengthened. I learned a lot about life and people in general during my time there. I learned life skills, people skills, conversational skills. I had troubles and trials during my time there. Sewing From Last Week

Just a short post :) Several longer ones coming soon!!! I was suppose to work three days for a neighbor, and we ended up finishing early... getting the job done in one day. So, all of a sudden, I had two extra days with nothing planned. Mom cut out three jumpers, and I worked on them for part of the two days :D Keilah's blue jumper. The sun was in her eyes so the picture isn't so good :( but here's another that's better... Kinda. And Keziah's two jumpers... And, also, for all of you that like to read, a friend just published an ebook! I read the first draft, and it was really interesting.
