Finding The Magic COVER REVEAL

Finding the Magic is an adorable retelling of Beauty and the Beast  set during one of my favorite time periods, WWII. I wrote a review on  Goodreads.  But basically—the book was beyond warm and tender and captivating and I'm thrilled I had the honor to beta read it. And it was such a lovely short read, too. Anyways, this story is being published, and that means there is going to be a gorgeous cover . . . But first, what is it about? Fifteen-year-old Belle is sent to the countryside to escape the London bombings of WWII. She knows she will miss her mother and worry about her father, who is away fighting in the war, but has no idea what awaits her in the manor in which she is to live. She finds friends in the staff but the mysterious and elusive master of the house frightens her. Can she teach him to find the magic in a world where magic seems to be long gone? And who wrote it? Jack is an author, which is why she spends much of her time writing and little o...

I'm Getting Published!

I'm getting some of my short stories published! And I'm just like so so, so, SUPER EXCITED.  One of my best friends loves to send me emails full of links to places looking for submissions. Most of the time I find I have an hour or so to kill soon after these emails... so what better way to spend that time but submitting?  I have received many rejections. But I've always understood that was a part of the game. You write, you submit, and you mostly get rejected.  I sent three stories for the  Clarion Call  anthology, little dreaming they'd want two of them!  The anthology, Clarion Call, Volume 4: FairyTale Riot is due to release end of July 2018. I think this makes me a published author???  Oh, and look at these fun covers they did for announcing the stories last week!

Free eBook (yes, another eBook ;b)

In my last blogpost I wrote of how I was cautious of eBooks. When I downloaded those free Kendra Ardnek books I accidentally downloaded one other free short story. I almost deleted it, but my mom was like, "It's free, it's a fairy tale. Check it out. If it isn't good then delete it." Wow. That short story ended up being one of the best accidents ever. I loved it so much that I decided "If there are more, I'm going to buy them, even if they are ebooks." Thankfully they are available in both paperback and hardcover :) And I'm buying these VERY soon :) Also, while doing this blog post, I found out that the author was home schooled and has three kids :) that's pretty neat, I think :) Maelyn by Anita Valle Available to download for free Anita Valle on facebook and her blog. Series: Book 1 of the Nine Princesses (Only three books are finished as of yet). Rating: 5 stars. Appropriate for all ages. Once scene with kiss...
